Catfish Farming
I have a catfish farm in the southeastern part of the U.S. and thought I would share some things about it. It might seem simple to put fish in a pond and then sell them for a profit. Many friends of mine that are not familiar with agriculture have thought that. Unfortunatly that is far from the truth. First of all their water is closely monitered 24 hours a day by someone. We watch the alge, oxygen, and anything irregular that could be happening. Secondly their diet consists of only the best, U.S. soybean meal and corn. Both of these commodities, as you know, are in high demand. We only put the best fish possible on the market to ensure the tastiest and safest fish reaches you. To provide this great renewable fish my family works long hard hours. We don't mind though because we care about our product as do the rest of the farmers in this nation. If you have any questions about catfish you can visit www.thecatfishinstitute.com and I encourage you to do so.
