The 2013 Farm Bureau® Photo contest was a coordinated effort between American Farm Bureau Federation and the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. This contest was open to all state and county Farm Bureau members and staff over the age of 18 at the time of entry, including professional photographers.

We held this contest to obtain usable and appropriate photos which accurately portray today’s agriculture and safe practices of farmers and ranchers for use in future publications and promotions. More than 620 photos were submitted this year.

This year, judges selected a photo submitted by Rebekah Rubingh of Ellsworth, Mich. for a special Animal Care award. Her photo of a milking parlor caught their eye because it accurately reflects the modern animal care practices that occur on dairy farms today.

Thank you to all the members and staff who entered the contest and to everyone who helped promote it.

All winning photos will be featured on our websites and social media and during the AFBF Annual Convention in January.
