AFBF Legal Advocacy
The American Farm Bureau Federation’s (“AFBF”) Legal Advocacy Program represents the interests of farmers and ranchers in the courts by opposing unnecessary or excessive restrictions on agricultural practices and private property rights. Our litigation efforts strive to maintain a lawful and rational U.S. regulatory climate that allows farmers and ranchers to be productive stewards of our natural resources.
Across the country, many state Farm Bureau organizations are engaged in legal advocacy efforts on similar issues. For this reason, the AFBF Legal Advocacy Program also provides a forum for AFBF and state Farm Bureau organizations to communicate about legal advocacy efforts and to develop strategies for promoting or preserving more favorable laws and regulations affecting agriculture. Through increased coordination, Farm Bureau organizations can focus their resources for greater effect in the legal arena.
