The American Farm Bureau Federation will offer two paid internships this summer in its Washington, DC office. The actual dates of summer internships are between early-June and early-August, depending on schedules. It is preferred that interns start their internship no later than June 11th. The internship will last for 8-10 weeks, ending no later than August 6. Interns are supervised by an Intern Coordinator in their assigned department.

Interns are responsible for their own housing.

Accounting Internship – Washington, DC
Preference is given to students completing their junior year with a major in accounting or finance.  Experience and aptitude in exploring budgeting and accounting with strong Excel skills are required. Interns will assist Finance staff in preparation of the annual budget, reporting, analysis, and some general ledger work.  Intern may also have an opportunity to assist with implementation of a new Travel & Expense electronic solution.  Candidate should possess analytical skills, critical thinking, and be a good communicator.  The skill level of the internship is ideal for undergraduate students.
