The Baltimore Sun covered AFBF and its suit against the Environmental Protection Agency in its Jan. 26. edition. AFBF is convinced the EPA exceeded its authority under the Clean Water Act when it established a dizzyingly complex and unworkable pollution “diet” for the Chesapeake Bay that usurped multi-state jurisdiction over the watershed. EPA administrator nominee Scott Pruitt supported the lawsuit. “Pruitt was among a group of state attorneys general that filed a ‘friend of the court’ brief in support of the lawsuit,” the Sun wrote.
