USA Today: President Trump Signs Executive Orders on Rural Broadband

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders after his Jan. 8 address to the American Farm Bureau Federation. USA Today explained that the executive orders “promote the expansion of broadband internet into rural areas that lack connectivity.”

Rural prosperity was a major theme of the presidential address. Trump explained that the decisions of his administration honor the farming industry, noted USA today. Other issues discussed were tax reform, regulatory reform and trade.
