American Farm Bureau Recognized for Excellence in Communications

The Agricultural Relations Council has presented the American Farm Bureau Federation with first-place Golden ARC Awards for its Farm Town Strong campaign with National Farmers Union, as well as its FBNews e-newsletter. In addition, the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture won a merit award for Food and Farm Facts Junior in ARC’s single-issue publication category.

The Golden ARC Awards Program began in 1990 and is recognized as the most esteemed award in the agricultural public relations industry.

ARC also inducted Mace Thornton, former executive director of communications for AFBF, into its Hall of Fame for lifetime achievement in agricultural public relations.

Earlier this month, the Farm Town Strong campaign won three Awards of Excellence in the Public Relations Society of America’s 2019 Silver Anvil Awards recognizing the best public relations campaigns of the year and the highest standards of performance for the profession.
