The global food system is undergoing a huge transformation fueled by demand for responsible food production and greater food security in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.

As these priorities rise to the top of the agenda, the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit’s eighth global forum will gather corporations, innovators and investors from across the agriculture and food production supply chain to identify the right business models to commercialize and scale the next generation of solutions.

Agriculture is rapidly changing, and the on-farm adoption of emerging innovations is at a crossroads.

The virtual summit on March 9-10 will bring together industry leaders, tech providers, farmers and start-up companies to discuss major themes and drivers of ag tech innovation as we advance sustainability goals and supply chain resilience. Attendees may hear from more than 100 speakers with expertise in on-farm technology adoption, automation of agricultural processes, soil health and carbon sequestration, and what collaborations need to happen to support the farmer. Here’s a taste of what to expect:

Workshop: The X Factor of Innovation Adoption

Agriculture is rapidly changing, and the on-farm adoption of emerging innovations is at a crossroads. What are the most compelling factors in bringing new technology to the farm? Ag industry veteran Randy Barker, co-founder and CEO of IN10T, will sit down with a farmer from Blomgren Seeds, BASf and Ospraie Ag Science to discuss the myriad of considerations that impact the farmers’ decision-making to bring new technology to the farm. Sustainability and Today’s Farmer

Join AFBF’s Chief Economist Dr. John Newton and Arizona Farm Bureau President Stefanie Smallhouse in a roundtable discussion of what sustainability means for the farmer today. Looking at how today’s farm practices, renewable energy and voluntary conservation programs are all working together to reduce farmers’ footprint, they’ll speak directly to the farmer perspective, to what this looks like day-in, day-out and share valuable data and insights.

Attendees will join 1,000+ agri-tech food professionals expanding their networks through interactive formats including high-level panel sessions, interactive workshops, small roundtable discussions on critical business challenges hosted by industry leaders and a virtual tour. Participants may also take advantage of free-form networking in the summit’s virtual social lounge, which was designed to support the World Agri-Tech community in creating connections, continuing conversations and building new partnerships throughout the entire value chain.
