Welcoming a New Chapter for the Farm Family Wellness Alliance

The American Farm Bureau Federation^® (AFBF) has been honored to serve as a committed member of the Farm Family Wellness Alliance since its national expansion in January 2024. We are deeply grateful to Farm Foundation for its vision and leadership in first organizing the Alliance locally and then growing it nationally to deliver vital mental health resources to farm families across the country.

AFBF is excited to begin a new role as the managing organization of the Alliance. This transition builds on the strong foundation laid by Farm Foundation and by each of you—dedicated members who have worked collaboratively to advance mental health wellness in agriculture and rural communities.

AFBF, along with industry partners such as National Farmers Union (NFU), has championed mental health awareness through the Farm State of Mind^® (FSOM) initiative for many years. We are humbled by the opportunity to serve farm families in this way. Our involvement in the Alliance has strengthened the work of Farm State of Mind—particularly through the integration of Togetherall and PAS services into the FSOM suite of resources.

This new chapter represents an exciting opportunity to grow together. By positioning the Alliance with FSOM’s national strategy and trusted initiative, we will work together to reduce stigma, expand access to critical resources, and create a sustainable model for long-term impact. This work is important—sometimes life changing—and we believe in the power of our collective influence.

We are grateful for the commitment and passion of each stakeholder, and we look forward to building on our shared vision to promote the well-being of farm families and rural communities nationwide.
