Farm Bureau Applauds New Trade Deal with the UK

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall commented today on the finalizing of major elements of a trade deal between the United Kingdom and the United States.

“Farm Bureau applauds the new trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the U.S. The deal expands access for American agricultural products, including beef and ethanol, which is an important first step in growing markets in the four countries.

“We’ve long advocated for new trade deals and we’re encouraged by this success. We urge the administration to build on this achievement to pursue more agreements, and work to improve on existing deals to create opportunities for America’s farmers and ranchers.”
