autumnlh@fb.orgAutumn Lankford Higgins joined the American Farm Bureau Federation in 2025 as director of government affairs. Her work focuses on federal advocacy efforts on critical agricultural policy issues related to technology and rural development, including the farm bill, precision agriculture, broadband connectivity and regulatory engagement.
Prior to joining AFBF, she held government relations roles at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, where she advocated on issues affecting agriculture, technology and rural communities.
A Georgia native, Autumn graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications. She also holds a master’s degree in legal studies from American University Washington College of Law.
