courtneyb@fb.orgCourtney Briggs joined the American Farm Bureau Federation in 2021 as senior director of government affairs and was promoted to managing director in 2026. She co-leads AFBF’s government affairs efforts. In addition, she leads the organization’s work on environmental and conservation issues, including water quality, clean air and Natural Resources Conservation Service programs and compliance.
Prior to joining AFBF, she spent more than a decade with the National Association of Home Builders, directing federal lobbying on environmental, transportation and land-use policies. She serves as chair of the Waters Advocacy Coalition and as president of the Agricultural Nutrient Policy Council. Previously she worked on Capitol Hill for Sens. Richard Burr and Lindsey Graham.
A North Carolina native, Courtney graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
