Kari Barbic

karib@fb.orgKari Barbic joined the American Farm Bureau Federation in 2014 and now manages executive communications for AFBF President Zippy Duvall. She also leads public opinion polling and consumer messaging development around key issues such as sustainability, the farm bill and food safety.
Raised in the Central Valley of California, Kari’s love for agriculture grew from following her dad through peach, plum and nectarine orchards as a child. She began her career in Washington, D.C., on the editorial staff at the Weekly Standard, and her writing has appeared in a variety of publications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English education from Maranatha Baptist University.
