His work focuses on advancing AFBF’s policy priorities with Congress, federal agencies and key stakeholders, with responsibility for farm labor, immigration, food safety, biotechnology and specialty crops.
Before joining AFBF, John Walt led national affairs at Florida Farm Bureau, where he helped shape and advocate for agricultural policy initiatives.
A Florida native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in food and resource economics from the University of Florida.
