Cameron Castillo
Associate Economist
cameronc@fb.orgCameron Castillo, a New Mexico native, joined the American Farm Bureau Federation in 2025 as a public policy assistant and was promoted to associate economist in 2026. His work focuses on agricultural labor, taxes and conservation issues, with additional expertise in pesticides and food safety.
Cameron earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University, where he researched the potential impacts of proposed farm labor legislation on the Texas dairy industry.
Before joining AFBF, he served as a legislative aide in the Texas House of Representatives.
